PWM – Handle Editor

In this blog, we’ll be looking at the handle editor inside CommerceBlitz Product and Wholesale Manager. This is a feature that allows you to edit Shopify handles in bulk and is critical for reducing the amount of time spent on e-commerce (so you can get back to selling).

But first of all, what are handles, and why do we need them?

Handles are basic components of Shopify listings and are used throughout the platform to generate links to products, collections, and other pages.

Handles are also used for SEO purposes. For example, if you have a product named “Dinosaur Socks” with the handle “dinosaur-socks” when someone types that exact phrase into Google or Bing, your product will appear first in search results.

How does Shopify generate handles?

Once you save a product, Shopify will automatically generate a handle based on the title you entered on the product page.
